Specialized Quranic courses for university students underway in Iraq

The Dar-ol-Quran Center affiliated to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in Karbala, Iraq, is hosting specialized Quranic courses for university students.

 

The Dar-ol-Quran Center affiliated to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in Karbala, Iraq, is hosting specialized Quranic courses for university students.

According to Qaaf news agency, the Academic Training Center of the Dar-ol-Quran has organized the courses.

They feature various Quranic sciences and will run for 8 days.

Tens of students from different Iraqi universities and higher education centers have taken the specialized courses.

Several top Quran masters, including Sheikh Khairuddin Ali Hadi, Sayyed Mortaza Jalaleddin and Safa al-Silawi teach the courses.

After completing it successfully, the participants are given certificates that will allow them to teach Quranic courses in their hometowns.

Quranic activities have significantly developed in Iraq since the 2003 overthrow of former dictator Saddam Hussein.

There has been a growing trend of Quranic programs such as competitions, recitation sessions and educational programs held in the country in recent years.
