US Airstrike Leaves 50,000 Yemenis Without Water

A US airstrike in Al-Hudaydah province, Yemen, has left at least 50,000 people without access to drinking water, Anadolu Agency reported. The strike reportedly hit a water tank in al-Sanif village, damaging a facility that supplies water to eight rural villages in the area.

Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV broadcast footage showing the destruction caused by the attack. In addition to the water crisis, the Houthis reported that four people were killed and three injured in the airstrike, with further strikes occurring in Hajjah province, although no casualties were reported there.

Since March 15, the Houthi-run Health Ministry claims that US airstrikes have resulted in at least 61 civilian deaths and 139 injuries across Yemen. The escalation follows US President Donald Trump’s declaration of military action against the Houthis, who have been involved in regional conflicts related to the ongoing situation in Gaza.
