Pakistan: At least 27 terrorists killed in gun battles amid rising insecurity

Pakistani security forces killed at least 27 terrorists in three different gun battles in Dera Ismail Khan district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said on Tuesday.

This comes after a deadly terrorist attack left 23 soldiers killed yesterday when militants rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a security post in the area blasting the check-post building.

Two other soldiers were killed as security forces were conducting sensitization operations in the area to eliminate the terrorists, the military statement confirmed.
