Iraqi Ministry of Transport continues work on ‘Ya Hussein’ railway project

The Iraqi Ministry of Transport is working to complete the (Ya Hussein) railway project, which starts from the International Station towards the Holy City of Karbala, passing through the provinces of Babylon and Holy Najaf.

The director of the Ministry’s media office, Mithaq al-Saffar, told media outlets that “this project is one of the most important vital projects that serve millions of pilgrims in Baghdad and the governorates, noting that this plan needs full cooperation from all departments concerned.”

It should be mentioned that such projects are of utmost importance to Holy Karbala due to the increasing numbers of pilgrims from all over the world who come to perform pilgrimage to Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them.
