Vietnam: Forum seeks ways to tap into Southeast Asian Halal market

A forum opened with the theme of “Cooperation and Development on Halal industry in ASEAN” on October 31 in Ho Chi Minh City to help Vietnamese businesses seize upon opportunities to participate more deeply in the supply chain of Halal goods.

According to Officials, the event provides an ideal venue in which enterprises can strengthen export activities, whilst also tightening the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Muslim countries in the ASEAN region.

Vietnam and Singapore signed an agreement last year to help distribute Halal food products in respective markets. Singapore is now supposed to facilitate further trade connectivity and transfer food technologies to Vietnam.
