Iraqi women researchers emphasize importance of introducing life of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra

Two Iraqi female academic researchers called on Tuesday to introduce the women of the world to the biography of Sayyeda Fatima, peace be upon her, and to conduct a deep and comprehensive research of her honorable life.

The researchers’ statement came during the two intellectual conferences held in both the shrine of the Sayyeda Sharifa, daughter of Imam al-Hasan, peace be upon them, in Babylon, and the College of Education for Women in Al-Shatra district, Dhi Qar province.

In the first seminar, Dr. Iman Obaid Wannas, an academic specialized in Islamic History, said: “The life of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, is full of lessons, principles, and honorable attitudes.”

She continued: “Women today, not only Muslims, must read the life of this great lady well, and draw strength from her to become strong and effective in the society, especially in light of the challenges facing women under false and deceptive slogans.”

For her part, researcher and academic Dr. Afrah al-Ghazi spoke about the prophetic awareness of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, and her chastity, which is an integrated Islamic approach in establishing a society dominated by true faith in general and womam’s chastity in particular.

She emphasized: “It is imperative for our educational and educational institutions to prepare intensive programs to guide the public opinion towards our good role model represented by Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, and her pivotal role in consolidating the obligation of hijab and chastity among women.”
