October 10, 680 marks painful martyrdom of Imam Hussein in Holy Karbala
Yesterday, October 10, was the anniversary of the great human epic of Imam Hussein’s Revolution and his Martyrdom in Holy Karbala in 680 AD.
The famous American newspaper (Infobae) recalled the most important events that took place over the years, describing what it recorded as a journey through time to discover important events and unforgettable historical moments.
The newspaper addressed the most important events of October 10, which it began with the bloody event of Karbala, in which the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, Imam Hussein, peace beup on them, was martyred.
The newspaper stated that “what happened on this day in the year 680 AD is one of the most important human events. On this day, the event of Karbala took place and the ruler Yazid, the accursed, beheaded the grandson of the Prophet of Islam, Imam Hussein, peace be upon them, in Karbala.”
It stated that “this day is one of the greatest days in the history of Shia Muslims, where they commemorate the occasion of Ashura.”
According to the newspaper, October 10, 680 AD, corresponds to the tenth day of Muharram al-Haram in 61 AH.
It should be mentioned that Shia Muslims around the world commemorate Imam Hussein’s rituals on this day to commemorate his painful martyrdom and what befell him and his pure family members and his virtuous companions in Holy Karbala.
