Grand Ayatollah Shirazi calls on Islamic, Arab governments to respect people’s rights, fulfill their needs

The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, called on Islamic and Arab governments and believers to help and support the disadvantaged people to maintain their dignity and safety, following the path and biography of the Honorable Prophet of Mercy and Humanity, Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.

On the Honorable Prophet’s birth anniversary, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said: “The greatest thing that the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, was characterized by was his compassion and mercy towards the believers, how could it not be, and he is the Mercy of Allah Almighty to the whole world”.

His Eminence continued that “helping people, especially those in need who experience difficult living conditions, is the responsibility of rulers, leaders, and believers, in order to ensure they live in dignity.”

He added that “the rulers and believers should seize the occasion of the birth of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and his grandson Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) to respect people’s rights and provide them with their essential needs.”

His Eminence pointed out that “the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, was compassionate and merciful to the believers; he used to fulfill their needs and was concerned with all their affairs, and he also equated himself with the weak believers in his food, clothing and actions.”
