Crowds protest against so-called “gender identity” policies in Canada’s education system

Many Thousands of concerned people — some along with their school-age children — rallied in various cities across Canada, and other major cities such as London, on Wednesday morning to protest a variety of policies they see as violating their rights as parents, and in some cases, their religious rights.

The protest movement, known widely as the 1 Million March 4 Children, had called on people to join on its website and social media platforms, saying “Brothers and Sisters of Humanity, join us in the March to Protect Our Children from Indoctrination and Sexualization.”

A statement issued by the movement reads: “Uniting diverse backgrounds and faiths, we share a resolute purpose: advocating for the elimination of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) curriculum, pronouns, gender ideology and mixed bathrooms in schools.”

Many Christians and Muslims participated in the huge rally as a sign of solidarity for a common purpose to confront a system some described as “godless” and “evil”.

“Not everyone has your child’s best interest at heart. Most of them want to pervert them, want to make them very flexible towards the government’s next agenda. They want to educate them and indoctrinate them so that they won’t stand against them as they push more and more evil on this world,” said one participant in Windsor.

Imam Hmam, of the Imam Hussein Foundation in Windsor, stressed that parents must be the ultimate arbitrator of their teachings. “Are you the ones who brought our children into this world, or was it us parents who brought them into this world with God’s permission?” he asked of policy makers.

“If wise parents, saw that my child was being physically tortured by an individual, wouldn’t it be my right to defend my child? To stop the torture? If this is the case then why can’t I defend my child and protect him from mental torture or spiritual torture?” he told the crowd.

Tonie Wells organized the march in the Queen City, and said the march was about kids’ safety and the rights of parents to be involved in decisions over their child’s education.

“Leave our kids alone” was a slogan chanted by protesters and held in signs to express disapproval of Canadian Government’s education policies that are secretly promoting a 2SLGBTQIA+ curriculum in schools, and even kindergartens.
