Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation calls on Iraq’s Council of Ministers to provide full support to Holy Karbala

The Holy Karbala-based Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, a center affiliated to the office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, has called on the Iraqi Council of Ministers to not put Holy Karbala on its regular power cuts plan and to increase water releases during the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.

The Foundation’s director, Abdul Sahib Al-kishwan, said in a statement that, “The Foundation sent a letter to Iraq’s Council of Ministers of Ministers calling for excluding the holy city of Karbala from the regular power cuts plan during the Massive Arba’een Pilgrimage.”

Al-kishwan noted that, “These demands are based on the instructions and recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi to provide the best of services to the honorable pilgrims of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.”
