Holy Karbala Media Department: More than 600 Arab and foreign journalists to cover this year’s Arba’een
The director of Iraqi Communications and Media Commission in the holy city of Karbala, Tawfiq al-Habali, has confirmed that the media plan for the Arba’een Pilgrimage will be comprehensive and compatible with the status of this massive pilgrimage.
In a statement viewd by Shia Waves Agency, Al-Habali said that “The media plan includes providing fixed headquarters for the media center, to host Iraqi and foreign journalists and media workers, and will be located near Al-Abbas Qibla St.”
He added that ” The central headquarters will be provided with the necessary services that journalists and media professionals need, most notably a high internet service to send their media contents to their home countries.”
The official elaborated that, “More than 600 journalists, reporters and bloggers from Arab and foreign countries will participate in the coverage of this Arbaeen.”
He emphasized that “The Commission will provide a special platform where TV meetings and other shows can be broadcast; and a live-broadcasting vehicle (SNG) will also be available for all journalists and media workers to utilize.”
Al-Habali pointed out that, “This year, this Commission has introduced a new plan to set up a newsroom to collect and write news articles and reports for all media outlets to maintain news credibility.”
It should be mentioned that the holy city of Karbala is preparing to receive millions of pilgrims who are walking towards the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
