Madagascar-based Office of Grand Ayatullah Shirazi organizes symbolic Arbaeen Walk

Just as the devotees of Abba Abdillah al-Hussein (peace be upon him) from different parts of the world began their journey of devotion towards Karbala to mark the occasion of Arbaeen 2023, the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Seyed Sadiq Shirazi, in the city of Mahajanga, Madagascar, organized a symbolic walk with the aim of introducing Arbaeen Walk as the greatest religious gathering of the world.

This move was carried out in accordance with the directives of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi regarding the universalization of the rites of Sayyed al-Shohada, peace be upon him, especially the holy walk of Arbaeen.

Dozens of Shia youths participated in this ceremony by walking in the streets of Mahajanga, with some enacting the captivity of the Prophet’s family following the tragedy of Ashura.
