Holy Najaf holds official meetings to discuss plans set for Arbaeen Pilgrimage

The government of Holy Najaf has continued to hold official meetings to discuss all service and security plans for the Arba’een Pilgrimage.

The First Deputy Governor of Holy Najaf, Hashim al-Karawi, said in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, that, “Concerted efforts should continue as the Arabeen Pilgrimage is nearing,” stressing on “all official departments should double their efforts to provide their services in accordance with the pre-planned strategies.”

He added that the government has coordinated with the Iranian authorities that all Iranian service vehicles should operate under the direction of the Iraqi concerned departments.

Al-Karawi confirmed that there will be no road closures, unless there is a necessity, to facilitate the movement of pilgrims.
