Shirazi-affiliated centres begin Ten Sajjadiya Days mourning ceremonies

The Shirazi-affiliated centers and foundations began, yesterday, Muharram 21st, the commemoration of the Ten Sajjadiya Days to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali bin al-Hussein, peace be upon them.
The official website of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said in a statement that “Foundations and centers affiliated to the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini Shirazi in various parts of the world have begun holding mourning ceremonies to commemorate martyrdom of Imam Al-Sajjad, peace be upon him.”
It added that “the mourning ceremonies will be held for the period from (21-30 Muharram) in memory of the tragedy of the martyrdom of Imam Ali al-Sajjad (peace be upon him) and the injustices that he was subjected to during his honorable life”.
The statement explained that, “Large crowds of the followers of AhlulBayet, peace be upon them, attend these mourning ceremonies to recall the honorable biography of Imam Al-Sajjad, peace be upon him, and to mourn his sorrowful martyrdom.”
It should be mentioned that these religious activities are based on the directives and recommendations of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi to introduce the divine roles of Imam Ali bin al-Hussein, peace be upon him.
