Pakistan President dissolves National Assembly
Arif Alvi, the President of Pakistan, officially ordered the dissolution of the National Assembly of this country.
The document for the dissolution of the parliament was signed early on Thursday, August 10 on the recommendation of Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
According to the Constitution, the term of the Parliament of Pakistan will end on August 12, 2023, when the government cabinet will be dissolved and then a transitional government will be established to hold general elections in this country.
The dissolution of Pakistan’s National Assembly takes place while the country’s election commission has banned former prime minister Imran Khan, who is now in prison, from holding a government seat for five years.
