Iraq’s Ministry of Communication distributes SIM cards with free calls, internet during Arbaeen

The Iraqi Minister of Communications announced the provision of SIM cards during the Arbaeen pilgrimage for free calls and internet.

“We have started the preparations for the Arbaeen ritual several weeks ago and have formed an operational room, presided over by the Minister of Communications,” al-Yaseri mentioned in a press conference on the preparations for the Arbaeen ceremony.

She further noted that the price of mobile phone calls and internet will be reduced on the routes of Arbaeen pilgrims.

Al-Yaseri added that these services will be available for pilgrims from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon and Iran.

According to the Minister of Communications of Iraq, the “Super Cell” company has provided free internet in the vicinity of al-Kazemiyyah Shrines.

She further said: “Iraq Call” company will soon provide free internet in Holy Najaf and Holy Karbala.
