Al-Azhar Professor recommends visiting graves, shrines of Ahlul-Bayt, peace be upon them
Dr. Ahmed Karima, professor of comparative jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University in Egypt, asked Muslims to visit the graves of the prophets and the family of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, to seek blessings from them.
“The fatwa of the Salafis regarding the prohibition of visiting the graves of the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) is invalid and is only a political fatwa,” he added.
“It is desirable to visit the graves of the Prophets, Saints and the Infallible Ahlul-Bayt,” Dr. Karima stated in the “9th program” broadcasted on Egypt’s Channel One.
He further continued: “The Prophet of God, peace be upon him and his family, used to visit the graves of Baqi, just as Sayyidah Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, used to visit the grave of our master Hamza, peace be upon him.”
Al-Azhar Professor called on Muslims to visit these holy graves and seek blessings from them.
