Second explosion next to the shrine of Sayeda Zainab, has injured dozens and killed many

Another explosion in the Shiite area of Sayyidah Zainab in the southern suburbs of Damascus claimed several lives and caused damage.

A woman was also martyred in this terrorist attack which happened near Sayyidah Al-Sham Hotel.

The Associated Press also reported that a day before Ashura, an explosive device planted in a taxi exploded in the suburbs of Damascus near the shrine of Sayyidah Zainab, peace be upon her, and left human casualties.

The Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health of Syria officially confirmed the death toll as 6 people, with 23 people injured and taken to hospitals and medical centres.
