Recent unrest in France caused 1 billion euros in damages

The head of the French employers’ Union said that the recent unrest in this country has caused one billion euros of damage. Pierre Gattaz noted that during the protests, 200 shops were completely looted and 300 bank branches were destroyed.

Following the killing of Nahel, a teenager of Moroccan origin, by the French police, this country has witnessed a wave of anger and dissatisfaction in the suburbs of Paris and some other cities in the past two weeks. Meanwhile, many human rights groups have criticized the increasing number of people killed by French police forces.
