Director of UNDP in Holy Karbala commends projects of Misbah al-Hussein Foundation

The Secretary-General of Imam Hussein Media Group and head of the Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslmeen, Sheikh Mustafa al-Muhammadi, has emphasized the pioneering projects, launched by the two centers, are going traction.

Sheikh Al-Muhammadi’s statement came during a meeting with the director of the office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Holy Karbala, Dr. Ali Kamuna.

Dr. Kamuna visited the headquarter of Imam Hussein Media Group in Holy Karbala and discussed with Sheikh Al-Muhammadi the role of the media in shaping the individual, the family and the society.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General introduced a brief overview of the projects carried out by the Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation; especially its humanitarian project “The Charter on the Protection of Iraq’s Orphans”, and also its current project “Holy Karbala Vision 2030: 50 million pilgrims during Arbaeen Pilgrimage”.

At the end of his visit, Dr. Kamuna thanked Sheikh Mustafa Al-Muhammadi for the national and humanitarian projects and activities the Shirazi organizations are conducting in service of the pilgrims to this holy city.
