The Al-Abbas’s Holy Shrine in Karbala hosted its 11th annual graduation ceremony for female university students from Iraq and several Arab and Islamic countries, with the participation of 6,450 graduates.

Held under the slogan “From the Light of Fatimah (peace be upon her), We Illuminate the World,” the ceremony was organized by the Women’s Religious Schools Division affiliated with the Holy Shrine’s Office of the Senior Official for Women’s Affairs. The event brought together graduates from 14 Iraqi provinces and seven Arab and Islamic countries.

The initiative, known as “Banat Al-Kafeel” (Daughters of Al-Kafeel), aims to celebrate women’s academic achievements, promote the integration of education with Islamic and humanitarian values, and strengthen cultural and intellectual ties among female graduates from different countries.

According to officials at the Holy Shrine, the ceremony also seeks to highlight the role of educated women in society, encourage young graduates to contribute their knowledge and expertise to community development, and demonstrate that academic excellence can go hand in hand with religious identity and moral values.
