Chicago Baqee Organization Webinar Calls for Reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi Graves
——————————
A webinar organized by the Chicago Baqee Organization brought together religious experts and researchers to discuss the condition of Jannat al-Baqi Cemetery in Medina and explore ways to restore its sacred sites. Held during the commemoration of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the event highlighted calls for the reconstruction of the holy graves and continued international efforts to achieve this goal.
According to the Chicago Baqee Organization’s website, speakers said followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) around the world are prepared to cover the full cost of constructing the shrine structures and restoring the site through public donations. They stated that their main request is for the necessary legal permits to be granted.
Participants also stressed the importance of pursuing lawful demands and sustained cultural advocacy until the reconstruction objective is achieved. They described the current condition of the graves as a reminder of historical grievances and emphasized the need to preserve Islamic religious traditions and continue international engagement on the issue.
