Children’s Quranic education programs at mosques across Europe play an important role in introducing younger generations to Islamic teachings, with teachers and families working together to support their learning and celebrate their progress in reciting and studying the Holy Quran.
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, Abu Hanifa Mosque, which serves the Albanian Muslim community in Gröningen, Switzerland, held a celebratory evening to mark a group of children’s completion of their Quran reading studies. The event was attended by imams, teachers, parents and members of the local community.
The program included a religious lecture by Sheikh Nusrat Shetty, who discussed the importance of the Holy Quran in Muslims’ lives and highlighted the role of families and educational institutions in raising younger generations according to Islamic values.
Sheikh Hafiz Irfan Abazi also attended the ceremony, congratulating the children on their achievement and praising the progress they had made in their religious education.
