Qatar Hosts International Conference on Quran, Human Knowledge
————————————–
Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has launched its second scientific conference, titled “The Quran and Human Knowledge: Toward a Mature Understanding of Humanity,” organized by its Department of Islamic Research and Studies.
According to El Ray, the two-day conference began on Monday in collaboration with Qatar University’s Ibn Khaldun Center for Humanities and Social Sciences and its College of Sharia and Islamic Studies. Researchers, academics and experts from nine countries are participating to examine the Quran’s role in shaping human knowledge and addressing contemporary intellectual and social challenges.
The conference focuses on four main themes: the Quran and philosophy, linguistics, law, and politics. Building on the first edition’s discussions of education, sociology, psychology and economics, the event aims to strengthen connections between revelation and contemporary knowledge while emphasizing ethical and human values.
One of the conference’s key outcomes is the planned publication of research papers in three specialized academic volumes. The initiative also reflects Qatar’s efforts to support scientific research, strengthen academic partnerships and promote high-quality scholarship.
