The walls and courtyards of the Alawi Holy Shrine in Najaf Ashraf were adorned with black coverings and banners of mourning as part of commemorations marking the tragic passing of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).

A correspondent from the Shia News Agency reported that the General Secretariat of the Alawi Holy Shrine announced a state of mourning on the occasion of the solemn anniversary. The shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) was decorated with black flags and condolence banners in remembrance of the Prophet’s martyrdom.

The holy shrine administration has prepared a series of mourning programs and religious events that will continue for several days, with expectations of large numbers of visitors participating in the commemorations.

Visitors to the shrine expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and their grief over the hardships faced by the Prophet and his Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them). They reaffirmed their commitment to preserving the traditions of Ahlulbayt and conveying their message to the world.

The visitors emphasized that commemorating this great tragedy serves as a reminder of the suffering endured by the Prophet’s family and highlights the historical challenges they faced in defending the principles of faith, justice, and guidance.
