Najaf Governor Launches Comprehensive Arbaeen Plan with Full Mobilization of Security and Service Departments

Najaf Governor Yousif Ganawi has announced the implementation of the comprehensive security and service plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), directing all security, service and health departments in the province to fully mobilize their resources to serve the millions of pilgrims arriving in Najaf.
The governor stressed the need to utilize all available human resources, vehicles and equipment to ensure the delivery of the best possible services to visitors arriving at the city of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), while maintaining smooth movement within Najaf and facilitating their onward journey toward Karbala.
Ahmed Al-Fatlawi, the official spokesperson for the Najaf governor, said that the plan involves the participation of all security, service and health institutions operating in the province, with direct support from the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the Popular Mobilization Forces, municipal departments, traffic directorates and other supporting bodies.
He added that additional support has been provided through personnel and equipment deployed from Baghdad and neighboring provinces to strengthen service operations, improve organization and help accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims.
Najaf is witnessing a growing influx of Arbaeen pilgrims from inside and outside Iraq, as the province serves as a major stop for visitors who come to pay their respects at the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) before continuing their journey by foot or other means of transportation toward Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
