Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Warns Against Discouraging People from Visiting Imam Hussein’s Shrine
——————————————–
Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has urged scholars and religious figures to uphold their responsibility toward Husseini rituals, warning against spreading unfounded doubts that may discourage people from visiting Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The senior religious authority stressed the significant role and responsibility of scholars in preserving the traditions and rituals associated with Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), cautioning that misleading people or creating doubts about the pilgrimage carries serious consequences.
His Eminence stated that those who have contributed to turning people away from visiting the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him) through the spread of baseless doubts should seek repentance before God Almighty, given the responsibility they bear for influencing others away from this path.
He emphasized that the consequences of misleading people cannot be easily reversed, calling on religious figures to carefully consider the impact of their words and positions regarding the pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the Husseini rituals.
The remarks come as millions of pilgrims from Iraq and around the world travel to the holy city of Karbala for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, commemorating the fortieth day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and renewing their commitment to the values of his movement.
