Muharram Mourning Gatherings Held in Lucknow to Highlight Message of Imam Hussein

Shia mourning gatherings are being held in Lucknow, India, with wide participation from mourners during the days of Muharram.

According to Shia Waves Agency, the ceremonies are taking place at several religious centers, including Qaima Khatoon Husseiniya and Asafi Imambara.

During the gatherings, prominent Husseini preachers are delivering lectures on the different dimensions of the tragedy of Karbala, the message of freedom, justice, and resistance embodied by Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and the sermons of Lady Zainab, peace be upon her.

Ahlulbayt reciters are also performing elegies and lamentations as part of the mourning programs, encouraging participants to draw lessons from the values of Karbala and apply them in their lives.
