Phra Saman Srinangam, a prominent Buddhist scholar in Thailand, highlighted kindness, compassion toward others, and the avoidance of violence as points of commonality between Islam and Buddhism.

According to the Bangkok Post, he emphasized that both Islam and Buddhism encourage ethical behavior, mutual respect, and the rejection of violence, noting that these shared values could play an important role in promoting global peace.

He also stated that dialogue and mutual understanding between followers of the two religions can help reduce misunderstandings and foster peaceful coexistence.
