The Holy Alawi Shrine has announced the completion of preparations to launch ceremonies for raising the Ghadir banner in dozens of cities and gatherings inside and outside Iraq, as part of its annual program to mark Eid al-Ghadir.
The shrine said this year’s ceremonies will include 150 official gatherings across several countries and Iraqi provinces, reflecting efforts to expand the global commemoration of Eid al-Ghadir, known among followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, as “the Greatest Eid of Allah.”
Haider Rahim, head of the shrine’s media department, said during a press conference at the courtyard of Lady Fatima, peace be upon her, that the banner-raising events will take place at 87 international locations in 28 countries, along with 21 locations in 15 Iraqi provinces.
