Lebanon Reports 2,846 Martyred, 8,693 Injured as Israeli Strikes Continue

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health has announced that the cumulative toll from Israeli military operations against Lebanon since 2 March has reached 2,846 fatalities and 8,693 injuries, according to the ministry’s emergency operations center.

The ministry said that 51 people were killed and 107 others wounded in the past 24 hours alone amid continued Israeli air and artillery strikes across southern and other parts of Lebanon, despite ongoing diplomatic efforts toward de‑escalation.

Since the start of the conflict in March, hostilities between Israeli forces and Lebanese armed factions have resulted in widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure and significant loss of life. The health ministry’s figures include civilians and members of Lebanese security and medical services.

The war has also triggered a major displacement crisis, with more than one million people forced from their homes, overwhelming shelters and aid resources across the country.

Despite a U.S.‑brokered ceasefire agreement in April, reported violations and renewed strikes have kept the humanitarian situation acute, with international agencies calling for stronger protection of civilians.

Lebanon’s government is continuing coordination with international partners to secure humanitarian assistance and pursue a sustainable cessation of hostilities.
