Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Highlights Honoring Remembrance of Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him)

The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi (may Allah prolong his life), affirmed that the universe is draped in black during these days in mourning for the loss of the disseminator of the sciences of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (peace and blessings of God be upon him), pointing to the magnitude of the tragedy on the painful anniversary of his martyrdom.
This came in brief remarks published on the official website of his office, coinciding with the days commemorating Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him). His Eminence expressed the profound grief that fills existence over the loss of Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), whom he described as “the guide of humanity and the mentor of seekers of truth,” stressing that through his blessed presence Islam was preserved and its rulings and teachings spread, as he is “the Imam of truth and the speaking Word of God.”
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi emphasized the importance of recalling the greatness of Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), especially on such sorrowful occasions, calling for the commemoration of his martyrdom with all its spiritual and intellectual meanings, and for continuing to spread the Sadiqi culture on a global scale.
He further explained that among the most important ways to adhere to the path of Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) is to continue disseminating the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and embodying their principles in conduct and action, in a way that helps solidify authentic Islamic values and strengthen religious identity among future generations.
