Nearly 5,800 people gathered in Beirut for an iftar dinner aimed at entering Guinness World Records as the largest Ramadan iftar gathering, IQNA reported. The event was organized by the Ajialna Society at the BIEL venue in the Lebanese capital.
Fedi Suwaid Ramadan of Ajialna Society told reporters that the group, which conducts charitable and social initiatives across Lebanon, intended to unite the country “from east to west, north to south, around a single table.” He emphasized that, with support from Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, participants from diverse backgrounds—including politicians, volunteers, and the general public—shared one meal to symbolize unity and solidarity.
More than 90 percent of attendees were orphans or volunteers from Lebanese schools, universities, and associations. The event also welcomed Palestinian families from Gaza, with 700 volunteers assisting in its coordination.
