Groundbreaking Laid for Al‑Muhsin bin Ali School in Kenya Amid Growing Community Needs

A new Shia religious school project began this week in the Kenyan city of Nyamira, where organizers laid the groundwork for a school aimed at serving followers of the Ahl al‑Bayt (peace be upon them). The initiative was announced by Hussein For All Campaign, an international humanitarian organization involved in relief, education, and development projects.

The school, named Al‑Muhsin bin Ali School (peace be upon him), will provide religious and cultural education to the growing Shia community in the region. Organizers said the decision to establish the school comes in response to a significant increase in the number of local residents adopting Shia beliefs, creating a pressing need for dedicated educational institutions that teach Shia doctrine, Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), the Quran, and other faith‑based subjects.

Officials involved in the project said the new school aims to offer a supportive educational environment that strengthens children’s religious identity and connection to their faith. The initiative will complement other long‑term humanitarian and development programs by the campaign, which also include building mosques and schools in other countries such as Malawi.

The Hussein For All Campaign is an independent humanitarian organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities through sustainable projects in relief, education, and health. The campaign has been active in Kenya and other African countries, focusing on expanding access to basic services and reinforcing social development through community‑driven initiatives.
