Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Mushaf of Imam Ali Is Preserved with Imam al-Mahdi and Will Be Revealed at His Reappearance

During his daily scholarly session on Sunday, 12th of Sha‘ban, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi addressed questions from attendees on various jurisprudential and religious topics.

Speaking about the Mushaf of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), His Eminence noted that, according to narrations, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) compiled the entire Quran—from beginning to end—based on the recitation, explanation, and interpretation of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family).

He added that, according to tradition, this Mushaf is currently in the possession of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) and will be presented to the people upon his reappearance.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi also emphasized that Shia scholars, from Sheikh al-Mufid to the present, have transmitted unanimously that the Quran in circulation today remains complete, without any additions or omissions, maintaining the integrity of every word and letter.
