Imam Hussein Media Group Marks 17th Anniversary of Its Establishment
—————————–
The Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Media Group has marked the 17th anniversary of its establishment, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the “Master of Martyrs,” on the third day of the blessed month of Sha‘ban.
In a statement issued on the occasion, the media group said it has achieved significant success in delivering what it described as a purposeful media message over the past years. The group attributed these achievements to what it called the blessings of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the guidance of the Marja’iyya, Grand Ayatullah Shirazi, noting that it aims to serve as a leading voice defending the rights of Shia communities worldwide and presenting what it described as their authentic image.
The statement said the group’s core mission since its founding has been to promote the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), convey the realities of Shia communities, defend their rights, and highlight cases of injustice they face. It added that this mission has been pursued through its satellite television channels and news agency.
Imam Hussein Media Group has expanded from a single Persian-language television channel into a larger media network that now operates six channels broadcasting in several international languages. The expansion, it said, aims to introduce global audiences to Shia Islam and the teachings of the Imams.
The group said its satellite channels now reach audiences around the world and focus on public awareness and education across various fields, in addition to covering religious, cultural, and social activities through their programs and news bulletins. It noted that its content targets Shia communities, Muslims more broadly, and non-Muslim viewers alike.
The statement emphasized that the group does not prioritize fame, exclusivity, or promotional competition, but rather what it described as the core function of media: informing the public and raising awareness. It said this approach is intended to convey the principles of Islam as represented by the Holy Prophet and his Pure Family (peace be upon them), in line with the guidance of the Supreme Marja, Grand Ayatullah Shirazi.
The Imam Hussein Media Group concluded by congratulating its staff and viewers on the occasion of its 17th anniversary, marking what it described as a milestone in its continued efforts to expand its outreach and maintain engagement with its global audience.
