Holy Shrines in Iraq have begun preparations for the celebrations marking the birth anniversaries of Imam al-Hussein, Imam al-Mahdi, Imam al-Sajjad, the Honourable Ali al-Akbar and the Honourable AbalFazl al-Abbas (peace be upon them all), during the month of Sha’ban, with religious sites in Najaf, Kadhimayn, Samarra, and Karbala reporting heightened spiritual activity and decorative arrangements.

At the Imam Hasan al-Askari Shrine in Samarra, the arrival of Sha’ban has brought an atmosphere of celebration and devotion. The Al-Askariyyain Holy Shrine has installed special decorations and banners in preparation for the birth anniversary ceremonies of the Ahl al-Bayt. According to reports by Shia Waves Agency, logistical and organizational preparations were completed earlier this week to accommodate worshippers and ensure the smooth running of religious events.

Similar activities are underway in Najaf and Kadhimayn. Shrine authorities said multiple teams have organized cultural and religious programs aimed at commemorating the occasions, with expectations that pilgrims will arrive from across Iraq and neighboring countries to participate.

Meanwhile, similar preparations are underway at the Imam Hussein Shrine in Karbala. Banners bearing the phrase “Al-Hussein is the Lantern of Guidance and the Ark of Salvation” have been raised in the courtyards of the shrine, while floral decorations using natural flowers have been installed to enhance the festive atmosphere.

Shrine officials said the arrangements aim to create a welcoming and spiritually uplifting environment for pilgrims during the Sha’ban celebrations.
