Holy Najaf Shrine Prepares for Grand Celebrations of Sayyida Zahra’s Birth Anniversary

The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf has finalized its technical and logistical preparations to host the upcoming celebrations for the birth anniversary of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).

The planned activities for this auspicious occasion include 21 diverse programs, anticipating the participation of over 26,000 individuals. This includes various groups such as students, girls who have reached the age of religious obligation (Takleef), and the families of the shrine’s staff.

The Custodianship of the mausoleum has launched a campaign featuring banners to mark the event.

Khadim Haider Abdullah, an official from the Custodian, stated that the General Secretariat of the holy shrine has completed the preparation of the necessary banners and flags. Additionally, 8 large umbrellas, 36 floral bouquets, and 48 decorative panels have been prepared. These will be strategically placed and installed inside the shrine and on its walls to reflect the festive spirit and create an appropriate atmosphere for the week-long activities.

These preparations are part of an effort to ensure the programs held are worthy of the blessed birth of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).

The 20th day of Jumada al-Thani in the lunar Hijri calendar, marks the birth anniversary of the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family). This day is also celebrated as Woman’s Day and Mother’s Day in many regions.
