The office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi has announced that Sunday, November 23, corresponds to the first day of Jumada al-Thani 1447 AH.

In a public statement, his office noted that the crescent of Jumada al-Thani was not sighted by the esteemed Marja, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi. Therefore, Saturday is the last day of Jumada al-Awwal, and Sunday marks the beginning of Jumada al-Thani 1447 AH.
