Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: The Ziyārah Prayer Is Specific to the Fourteen Infallibles (peace be upon them)

The daily scholarly session of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Husayni Shirazi was held on Thursday, 21 Jumada al-Ula 1447.
As in previous sessions, His Eminence responded to attendees’ questions on various jurisprudential issues.
Regarding the Ziyārah Prayer, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stated that this prayer is specific to the Fourteen Infallibles (peace be upon them).
He added that there is only one exception concerning a non-infallible figure: the revered Abbas (peace be upon him), for whom a Ziyārah Prayer has been transmitted.
His Eminence further emphasized that although performing a Ziyārah Prayer for others who are not infallible is not problematic in itself, such prayers have not been mentioned in the narrations.
