Commemorations of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) Held in Canada and Myanmar

Shiite communities in Montreal, Canada, and Yangon, Myanmar, held solemn ceremonies marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the revered daughter of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family).

In Montreal, the event was jointly organized by the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Global Center and the Islamic Center of Iranians in Montreal. The program began with congregational prayers, followed by recitations from the Holy Qur’an. Scholar Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Mousa Fali delivered a lecture highlighting the spiritual and moral virtues of Lady Fatima (peace be upon her). The gathering concluded with elegies performed by Mirza Ahmad Sibiway, collective supplications, and a communal meal.

Meanwhile, in Yangon, Myanmar, the Husseiniyah of Hazrat Abbas (peace be upon him) hosted mourning rituals attended by Shiite residents and devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Participants recited prayers and elegies in honor of Lady Fatima, expressing devotion and grief for her sacrifice and legacy.
