In a scene filled with devotion and reverence, the servants of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in Karbala held a special ceremony to clean and perfume the shrine’s radiant golden dome.
The ritual, attended by pilgrims, local residents, and shrine officials, involved the dusting and incense perfuming of the sacred dome, symbolizing renewal, purity, and respect for one of Islam’s holiest sites.
At the same time, major reconstruction and development works are underway at the Al-Kadhimayn Holy Shrine in Baghdad. According to the shrine’s engineering department and strategic projects team, round-the-clock efforts are being made to restore, renovate, and modernize the shrine’s infrastructure.
These efforts aim to improve services and ensure comfort for pilgrims visiting the resting place of Imam Musa al-Kadhim and Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (peace be upon them).
Together, these initiatives at the shrines of Karbala and Kadhimayn reflect the broader commitment of custodians and volunteers to preserve the sanctity of holy sites and enhance the spiritual experience of millions of visitors each year.
