Israeli Airstrikes Kill Three Hezbollah Members in Southern Lebanon

Israel’s military confirmed on Saturday that air and drone strikes in southern Lebanon killed three members of Hezbollah amid escalating cross-border clashes, Khaama Press reported.
Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said two Hezbollah fighters were killed in the Chebaa area and another in Baraachit, alleging that the latter had been rebuilding Hezbollah’s military infrastructure while the others were involved in arms smuggling operations.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported at least seven civilians wounded in a separate Israeli drone strike on Bint Jbeil, where local media, including LBCI and Al-Jadeed, said homes and vehicles were also damaged.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said the strikes were part of “ongoing efforts to neutralize threats” near the border. The attacks come amid heightened Israeli bombardments in southern Lebanon, following Hezbollah’s rocket and drone assaults into northern Israel.
UN peacekeepers have urged restraint, warning that continued escalation could trigger a wider regional conflict. Hezbollah vowed retaliation, saying its fighters “will not allow Israeli aggression to go unanswered.”
