Israeli Army Accused of 194 Ceasefire Violations in Gaza Since October 10: Media Office

The Gaza Government Media Office has accused the Israeli army of committing 194 violations of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, including airstrikes, shelling, and restrictions on humanitarian aid. The ceasefire was brokered after months of fighting to allow reconstruction and relief efforts in the war-torn enclave.

According to Ismail al-Thawabteh, head of the media office, Israeli forces have repeatedly crossed the designated “yellow line”—a buffer zone dividing Gaza’s north and south—conducting limited incursions, demolitions, and firing on civilian areas. “We report these violations daily to mediators,” Thawabteh told Anadolu Agency.

He said Israeli forces continue to block the entry of medical supplies, tents, and mobile homes, worsening the humanitarian situation. The Rafah crossing with Egypt also remains closed, preventing the evacuation of patients and delaying aid convoys. Since the truce began, only 3,203 of the 13,200 agreed aid trucks—around 24%—have entered Gaza.

The office said Israel has failed to honor commitments under the ceasefire protocol, including allowing heavy machinery to recover bodies from the rubble. Limited equipment has reportedly been permitted only to retrieve remains of Israeli captives. Gaza officials estimate 9,500 Palestinians remain missing under destroyed buildings.

The agreement also stipulated the entry of 300,000 tents and mobile homes for displaced families, but less than 4% of that number has arrived, leaving over 288,000 families without shelter.

Thawabteh accused Israel of deliberately worsening conditions by blocking 6,000 aid trucks on the Egyptian side of Rafah and urged international mediators—including the United States—to pressure Israel to comply fully with the ceasefire terms.

Gaza authorities estimate that 90% of the Strip’s civilian infrastructure has been destroyed, with preliminary reconstruction losses reaching $70 billion.
