The international nonviolence organization “Freemuslim Association” has called on leaders and representatives of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum to integrate social and humanitarian priorities into their economic agenda. In a message sent to APEC participants, the organization stressed that genuine economic prosperity cannot be achieved without ensuring social justice and human dignity.

The statement, shared with Shia Waves Agency, described APEC as a major global economic force facing deep social and humanitarian challenges that require responsible action. Freemuslim urged member states to take concrete measures to improve living standards for disadvantaged communities, including greater investment in education, healthcare, and fair employment opportunities for youth and women.

It also called for stronger efforts to promote transparency, combat corruption, and adopt sustainable development policies that address climate change impacts on vulnerable populations. On the humanitarian front, the organization emphasized fair wealth distribution, protection of fundamental freedoms, and the empowerment of women, children, and religious and ethnic minorities.

It further urged the protection of refugees and migrants from abuse. The organization concluded that long-term economic stability in the Asia-Pacific region depends on achieving social peace and human justice through responsible, inclusive policymaking.
