Report Claims Bashar al-Assad Was ‘Poisoned’ in Moscow
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Wednesday, October 1st, that former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was poisoned while in Moscow.

Citing an unnamed source, the non-governmental organization stated that al-Assad was discharged from a hospital on the outskirts of Moscow on Monday and is now in “stable” condition. The same source informed SOHR that al-Assad was the target of an assassination attempt. The party seeking to poison him, the source claimed, was attempting to “discredit the Russian government and accuse it of murdering Bashar al-Assad.”
