Shia Rights Watch (SRW)—an international organization for the defense of Shia rights—has released its monthly report, documenting a series of violations against Shia Muslim communities across several countries. The report highlights incidents ranging from terrorist attacks and armed assaults to restrictions on religious practices, arrests, and forced displacement.

According to the report, Shia populations in Afghanistan have faced increasing restrictions under current authorities, including the removal of numerous university curricula and academic references considered inconsistent with their interpretation of Islamic law.

In Pakistan, the organization recorded deadly terrorist attacks targeting Shia civilians in different regions. These included bombings and armed assaults that left men, women, and children among the casualties, reflecting an ongoing pattern of violence by extremist groups.

In Bahrain, the report described continuing government restrictions on Friday prayers in the town of Diraz, alongside arrests of activists and citizens. Among those detained was an educator who had exposed corruption files, a move the organization said illustrated persistent pressure on Shia communities in the country.

The report also cited violations linked to Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon, which resulted in civilian deaths and injuries. Villages and residential areas were reportedly struck, causing both human and material losses. In Syria, Shia communities were reported to have endured a wide range of abuses, including abductions, extrajudicial killings, forced displacement, destruction of religious sites, and even the cutting of water supplies to some villages.

The organization concluded that the documented events point to systematic attempts to marginalize Shia populations in several regions. It stressed that its mission is solely to present factual accounts of the situation on the ground, without political or financial motives. The group reiterated its call for greater protection of vulnerable communities, urging international actors to uphold principles of justice, equality, and accountability in the face of ongoing violations.
