Baghdad International Book Fair Opens with 355 Publishers

Iraq’s Ministry of Trade inaugurated four specialised exhibitions at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds on Wednesday, featuring the participation of more than 600 local and international companies and publishers.

Among the events, the 26th Baghdad International Book Fair was opened by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, bringing together 355 publishing houses from across the world. Officials described the fair as a key cultural platform for showcasing intellectual output and strengthening global cultural ties.

Other exhibitions include the Renewable Energy, Oil and Gas Fair, with 60 companies presenting the latest technologies in energy and investment; the Construction and Building Fair, featuring 98 specialised firms; and the Health Exhibition, with 141 companies displaying new medical and pharmaceutical innovations.
