Ahead of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him), thousands of pilgrims from Baghdad and other Iraqi cities are traveling to the holy city of Samarra, Shia Waves Persian reported.
Security forces have been deployed along the routes and around the shrine of the Two Imams to ensure the safety of visitors. Local vendors and service providers have set up tents offering food, drinks, and other amenities, while the Salah al-Din Health Directorate has deployed 30 medical units to support the pilgrims.
Photos released by media outlets show large, dense crowds creating a vibrant and spiritual atmosphere. The movement of pilgrims continues, with ongoing coordination between security and service authorities to ensure their welfare and health.
Iraq’s Interior Minister, Abdulamir al-Shammari, visited Samarra to oversee the implementation of security and service measures, ensuring the event proceeds smoothly.
The large turnout reflects the deep devotion and loyalty of the faithful to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), giving Samarra a unique spiritual vibrancy.
