New Flag Prepared for Martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askari in Samarra

As the 8th of Rabi al-Awwal draws closer, the embroidery department of the Al-Askari Holy Shrine in Samarra has completed a new ceremonial flag dedicated to Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him).

According to Shia Waves Agency, the flag has been carefully and intricately crafted and will be hoisted atop the dome of the shrine on the anniversary of the Imam’s martyrdom.

The flag-changing ceremony is regarded as one of the most significant religious traditions in Samarra. Each year, thousands of pilgrims from various countries travel to the holy city to attend this solemn and spiritual event.
